Well i am starting  to do my rebuild finally  and i thought i would share with you guys the beginning to the end Just kidding i know it dont end. This boat is my father in laws project that he dropped off for me to do. What a nice guy he is .

 Well as you can see from the pics i got my hands full So any and all advice is appreciated. I think i will start by stripping the boat and carpet so i can scrub it all out real good and see what the glass and wood looks like. i know i have to fix the rear all ready, i will start that tomorrow. today is wash day, I am glad i got one of them high pressure sprayers makes it so much easier to clean off stubborn grease and stuff.

 then i will do the pump

 I had to put my boat on hold so i can get this one out of my drive way.

My personal opinion is that there is a ton of resin on there . The fact that the intake is about flush with the bottom tells me that . Maybe it's got a steep V and that could do it also but the enormous puddle of resin makes me think other wise . Chip that shit out so you can see what your really workin with .

Are you still wondering about those heads? I could cruise by and give you a half ass opinion on them

Cleaned it up enough atleast to get the grinder in there and see whats going on. Found some more engine parts   Looks like i need to repair/replace the front seat mounts. Yep im just getting started.

 What can i use to get the old carpet glue off?

Yes its gonna be alot of work,  but i do have until next summer to get the two boats in the water

Atleast i get off work about 10 am every day so i gots plenty of time to work on them.

The Holms family used to race there jet hulls in ski jet and comp jet. Now it does take a bit of work to make them act and perform the way most people want them to.
I would like to stop by and take a look at it if you don't mind.

Well like Jim said, were making progress. Got down n dirty today with the grinder Just a little more cleaning up and i can finish it off. Really wasnt as bad as i thought it would be, cleaned up nicely.

 Now its time for a few beers and Ebay.

 Thanks again Jim.  That was way cool of you to stop by the house and give me some advice on which way to go.  If you are going to be on the river tomorrow night let me know. I wanna see that boat in person since i can hear it from my house when your running it At least now i know who it is.

And yes this sum bitch is a wide Mutha   More room for BEER.

Thanks guy's im one up on ya There is no way to do it otherwise, you cant breath and i allready have asthma ( just found out) I have my wife bring me home a bunch of masks from work. Well i got to get back out there and start striping some more glue off. Just found another crack in the floor. I wonder whats next? Maybe i will find some money Ya right!

Both the Rogers and the Miller that I had , both had twin saddle tanks and they were both glassed in at the bottom with two ~10" X ~10" pieces of fiberglass mat. The tops of the tanks were held in by the hose connecting to the fuel fill necks. When I got the Miller the tanks were out of it and I glassed them in the way I just mentioned. They never came loose but I only had it for a couple of months.
