RAV4 might be a little tough but the frontier never had problems and towed my boat just fine with the 4.0 v6

What about a 2001 Grand Cherokee Laredo V6? I believe it's rated for 5k lbs. I'm thinking about picking up a 19ft Cheetah or 20ft Spectra and was curious if anyone has towed with a GC?

Most V6's will tow a 18' jet boat until it hits a long steep grade and you may end up in the right lane with the big dogs the real problem will be the vehicle housing the little v6's ability to stop an 18' jet boat.

Jk is NOT A VEHICLE YOU SHOULD TOW A BOAT WITH!  LMAO! I build crawlers for a living and the engines in those are weaker than shit. A little more power than a Toyota 22re but less reliable. ..hahaha!

Before I built a hitch for my truck I towed my old 18' Southwind with my parent's V6 SRX. I never had issues on grades or at the launch ramp.

I've got an 01 Tundra V6 3.4 that tows my 19' DiMarco double axle trailer no problem. I'm in Oceanside and cut thru Temecula thru Anza and down into the Palm Desert to the 10 to Blythe with no problems! Both ways!

WTF?  Never heard of a V6?

We used to tow a 16ft outboard with an '86 VW bus...plenty of trips over the grapevine to bass lake and plenty of trips to the river...slowly lol.

I towed my white jet bote with a 2005 Tacoma V6 and had no problem holding 75-80 in 6th up the grade out of Indio...had a Stoptech brake kit so stopping was no problem.  We also tow with the wife's '96 4runner v6 with 240K on it without a problem.  My '97 c1500 tows better than the 4 runner, but not as good as my Tacoma did.  I've also towed the boat to the river with my '86 Toyota pickup...22RE 4 cylinder....didn't like the hills much, but did just fine.  If you're not in a hurry and you're not an idiot, you can tow a 19-21 foot boat safely with anything

Haha at towing with a jeep. They're the most useless SUVs for towing. 2k towing capacity. You can bring home a single jetski if you're lucky.

Get a v8...

I use to tow my flat w/ a v-6 s-10 and that thing hauled ass! Latest tow rig is my lady's Flex and it surprised the hell out a me when we towed our Carrera. Both v-6's are very torquey and as long as you keep em reved up they'll make power. W/ the 6 speed auto in the Flex I pulled it down to 4th and pulled the summit outta Indio at 65 w/ the AC on and the cruise control set, not even a hick up or a rise in temp.
