boat in a movie

There is a movie with dan akroid and john candy, they are on vacation somewhere, well anyways its on CMT right now and there is a lake scene and john candy is getting towed by a bad ass boat, i dont know if its a jet or v-drive. anyone know?

The movie is called "the great outdoors" one of my all time favorites!  And if you notice in some of the scenes the top pulley on the blower is not even moving.

The Boats a Miller Flat (kinda rare) Always wanted to replicate it , we own a fairly pristine "sister hull"
Great flick , its in my collection  ;)  (ps Albequerque, isn't that where Bugs Bunny was always going (but he came up in Pismo Beach) ?

One of my all time favorite movies for sure.  I always loved the boats name suck my wake it is so awesome.

Alot of that movie was filmed in Bass Lake.
I think that boat belonged/belongs to Roman1 on the old Hot Boat forums.

Yah, if you go to the pines bar or upstairs Duceys theres a ton of pictures from the making of the movie. My aunt was an extra in the bar scene in the movie. Tons of cool old info all around the lake, at almost every store and restaurant. Its my back yard, so Im there pretty much every day!

Check out "BMX bandits", "meatballs 3" and the old Elvis movie "Clambake" for more flatty's in movies. "Madison is another cool movie based on an old unlimited Hydro racing team.

There's someone currently trying to sell a script to Hollywood with a ton of boatracing in it.
