Thought I read you get a little bit more HP but you burn through it 30% faster. Soon as I read that last part I said "I'm OUT"!!!
There is more to it than that.
The reasons you can make more power is because of the higher octane allowing much higher compression ratios. The fuel itself does not make more power, it makes much less, the is approximately an 18% difference in the amount of energy per pound.
It will also tear up standard gasoline gaskets and hoses.
