Favorite place on the colorado river - and why?
« on: April 13, 2008, 07:02:55 AM »
Looking for everyone' fav place to go ...

Most importantly I want to know WHY it's your place too....

because it's isolated, because it's mellow, because lot's of titties and drinkin' and wild stuff happenin', because the water's warm, because the fishin' / water skiing / beaches, etc is great.... whatever.....

Boat is CLOSE to being DONE. Like a week or so away, I *may* even be able to show it at NJBA on the 19th!

I voted other for Needles. My pop lives in needles so I save money on room and bard. That and he's good company too.  I know every nook and cranny of the river between the avi, and topoc. :)

Where's "All the Above"  ;D

Laughlin is about the best because you have the option for Mojave, Avi, Needles, or Moabi... cheap rooms and a little nightlife.

I like the Parker Strip (but I haven't spent much time in the other places).

I like Parker area because there is several areas to get some fast runs in, a couple good sand bars for kicken it, if you just want to hang out you can run up to the Parker dam and float down for a couple hours with little interference.

I go to Havasu on the California side. We have been going there for many years and we leave the motorhome there all year long. Only 2 hours from the house.

Probably not. Need cash for a few more parts. Crank needs polishing and I need main and rod bearings before coming out there. Sorry for the short thread jack.

Needles. The only downside is the cold water.
