Just bought my first boat. 1982 Eliminator. 454 BBC, Berkeley jet. Looking forward to getting it on the water real soon.

The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

Welcome aboard, have you driven a jet before? I'm guessing not since this is a first boat thread, remember you have to apply power to turn the boat. Hopefully you have an experienced driver with you to show you some ropes, they can be tricky in crowded places and also when you're going 70 mph at some rocks

The saying "when in doubt, throttle out" needs to be taped to the center of the steering wheel for the first couple outings. After that you will realize how true it is.

Its just a natural instinct to some of us. works well when riding quads at the dunes also.
