Getting new family boat tomorrow
« on: January 22, 2016, 05:34:17 PM »
Hi Guys,

New member and first time post. I am picking up a new family boat tomorrow (1977 Howard) and had a few questions. The boat is coming from an original owner and is in fairly good condition. However there are a few things that need to be done and I need some help.

1. Needs new gas tanks put in it. The original fiberglass tanks are coming apart from the inside. They cosmetically look good from the outside but not so good on the inside.

2. Needs new steering cable.

3. Ulpolstry needs to be redone.

Any advise on where to purchase fuel tanks (with mounting brackets), cables, and a good shop to take the ulpolstry to would be great.

Thanks.

eddie marine is good for the cables. They are in Rancho, also there is cpperformance.com

tanks, youd have to measure what you have then look for somehting that will fit

martinez is really good for interior but not cheap.
