I grew up with Halletts, they have always been my favorite boats.  My late best friend, who originally built my boat for the former owner, also had Halletts with crazy horsepower.  I will start a thread on mine soon.  Unfortunately mine has had to sit for a minute, so I don’t go out.  But if you ever wanted someone to pitch in for BBQ, beer, or gas

I really love how your block and heads are blended and detailed.  I can’t get over that bellhousing and how well it blends into the block.  Is that an old Powerglide bellhousing or is it a marine bellhousing?  Somebody put a lot of love into that build.

So the guy that I bought it from is an old hot rodder and overall a really cool guy. In his garage he had a '40 Ford, '34 Sedan, and he was right in the middle of replacing all the rusted out mess in what I believe was a model T. He's built them all himself. Mind you he's 75 now and after he built the boat he didn't use it, he's all about the project. Anyways he spent a lot of time grinding and smoothing out the motor (not sure if that was done before or after it was built). I spent a few hours with him and I wasn't able to get all the info that I would have liked.

We got along really well but like I said before he read me too well and he's had a lot more practice negotiating than me. I'm still stoked and he was happy that the boat went to someone who appreciated all his work he put into it.

I'm looking forward to finishing the build. I can't wait to rip the interior out and put it back together how it suits me. I'm going to leave the motor open and I think. I want the back seats to face each other but the boat's so wide I think it will end up really comfortable and you'll be able to angle forward or backwards when pulling skiers.

Oh and speaking of skiing, about a year ago I really screwed up cause I gave away a Maharaja from the 70's that would have gone perfectly with this boat. I'm gonna have to find another one...

I will for sure, this week I'll be putting new cables in for the steering, reverse bucket and diverter. I'm also going to put in a manual selector switch for the gas tanks, right now there's just a T and they don't seem to be drawing evenly.

Hey man, I need to try and arrange my schedule to be up at your place to give you a hand next time you're laying down glass. I'm pretty dialed with tools and know how for the wood working aspect of the interior but I've never done any big projects with fiberglass.
