LMFAO, I have a old GPS with no mempry capabilities. I don't need a nice GPS for a boat that don't run! 

    Then how the hell do you find that boat that don't run??     

The local maps were already on mine. I even have taken it with me on a couple of trips to sacramento. Was a trip the first time I took it to the sandbar and turned it on for the hell of it. Didnt see any roads but I could see the bend of the river where the sand bar is, was pretty cool

Hey Greg that is the one im using and is easy to use and like I said the inland maps were already loaded. even used it when I drove to SAC a couple of times to visit relatives. For ME the thing I like is how small it is  Mark

Another interesting fact I would like to mention is that when you use it in your vehicle you may see that the speed on your speedometer doesnt match what is on the GPS. The GPS is RIGHT the speedo will be the one that is off. Cars and trucks can be off 2 to 4 %. Motorcycles can be up to 10%    mark

Yes it definately will be fun to fool around with. Something else to think about...... if your speedo is off on your vehicle and you have a warranty on it......hmmm.....does that mean your warranty expires sooner than it should have   YUP sure does   Another thing about fixin a speedo I had heard that some are programable and some arent, but i dont know that for sure   Mark

I hear ya on the warranty thing, but to give you an example....anyway   lets say your speedo says you are doing 65 mph and your GPS says 61 mph, its a 4 hour drive to the river, the GPS is right so you just put 16 miles one way on your "odometer" that shouldnt be there, 32 miles round trip. That can add up quick. Of course you would adjust up or down according to speed. But it could affect either the warranty or resale value because of mileage. Just my 02   Mark

 They are awesome in a car. I haven't seen a better built in GPS unit on brand new cars. The one that comes with the Lincoln sucks, lexus sucks, cadillac sucks, Mercedes is a little better, BMW is the better of all of them. But these two are real lifesavers! At $500 it's really worth it as far as full function vehicle navigation systems are concerned.
