Update to Wednesday on the river: was headed to the Avi to watch the fireworks from the pontoon boat and was 3/4 the way between Willow Valley and the Avi when the motor quit running. Popped the engine cover and the bottom was filled with oil.
Called Ski tow and was setting up a tow when we were attacked by mosqitos. Luckily a boat happened by and towed us back to the Marina. Kudos to the guy who towed us, I think he was from AZ and refused to take any money. Thank you, thank you...... Left the boat docked in the Marina, and will see what the damage s tomorrow. When we got back everyone, including the dogs are covered in welts from the mosquitos. New rule, no more night rides on the river (unless covered in repelent)

Thursday on the river:

Replaced the bunks on the pontoon boat trailer, made it to the Marina, and got the kids to power the boat back on the trailer. (it is amazing how 4 20 somethings can provide enough power in the water to swim a 25 foot party barge to the ramp) and got the boat back to our trailer. Checked the oil on the dip stick and it did register, so was not run dry. I am hoping it has a cut off switch for low pressure and did not hurt the motor (manuals are at home in Rancho). Will check it out in the AM to see where it is leaking, and figure out what to do with the milkshake in the bilge. The Dodgers won, and was able to have several cold ones, so overall, still at the river, and is always better than working.
