The keg is the only way to go, I pucked up a used coca cola keg (refurbished) fairly cheap. Don't let em talk you into the special "brew gas mix" straight co2 works best. I think the mix had 20% nitrogen in it or some shit like that. Carbonates in a day or 2 instead of weeks.

Hey Tom kegging your homebrew is the way to go   I have been homebrewing for alot of years now. I have been bottleing for the majority of those    What a pain in the arse   Making sure the bottles are sterile along with everything else, and then......... the wait, while they are bottle conditioning. Some brews I made fermented for about 3 weeks and then bottle conditioned for for a few months, oh the agony of waiting that long for a homebrew, that tastes absolutely awesome     Mark

Cool I'll call you , like anything else its spooky the first time (WTF to do with the keg and CO2 ) but the bottling is a major pain  even with the Grolsh bottles , I got about 5 cases from the past year all still good , this Batch is xmas Brew cant wait (hardest part) Folks that havent experienced this it simple and fun you canmake some serious good beer and its cheap to get started Tom

The colder it is the easier it is to carbonate. I hook the co2 up to the (beverage side)of the keg, the side you despense out of . Lay the keg on it's side ,and roll it back and forth with my foot as you put the c02 to it, crank it up to 25 psi or so and let it sit for a day or so.

Thanks everyone , I will count on your "collective expertize" to help , Its still bubbling away in the carboy , Taylorsj I Kicked up the Alchy with some added corn sugar (1/2 lb) , Kreg ,dun forgot you were a "brewer"    Jeremy ,when I went to the local Bud distributor yesterday before I went online just to ask about the little "cornielius kegs" they were Ph*kin rude and acted like I was an alien  but that was a good Idea any how  Turns out BTW that the CO2 bottle and regulator is the exact same rig I need for my Jet "pop offs" I sell and the beer dudes sell them (and the regulator for a good price)

Tom one other thing I might mention to ya is that you want your carboy in a somewhat dark and cool place, and keep any pets you might have away from it, they can get gassed    Mark

Couple of questions Tom How long did ya ferment your brew was there any white goodies floating in your carboy which really wont hurt you, just a sign of contamination, did ya sanitize your cornelius keg   and the lines in your tap system I have shaken just a little not much tho. what psi are ya running through the regulator

Oh I just thot of another thing, ya gotta give it a MIN of 2 hours before ya tap it the more the merrier   You need time for the C02 to infuse with the brew
