I am going to try switching my dual webbers for a single 48 on my desert car. Im sick of the dual carbs loading up and just kind of being a pain in the ass. Im running a 2276 so i know it will run on a single 44 but i would like to put a 48 on if i can find one at a decent price.

i would be very greatfull. MY dual carbs work pretty good and my car hauls ass. i just want to make it a little more responsive. and dual carbs are just not good for that. they also get flooded and backed up when i bounce the rear end real good. then it takes me a few to get them cleaned out so i can get back on the gas.

So if you have one i would be very greatfull. I dont want to spend $ on a new one to find out my duals work better.

no i use it up here in the desert. I have a nice set of dual 44s on there now. im just sick of messing with them and i want to run a UMP filter system. but i dont want to have to do the plumbing or run two filters for the dual carbs. as far as i know the duals only really come into effect at the top end of the RPM range. i dont spend a lot of time up there so i figured i might as well try a large single carb.

I would love some help from someone who really knows these things. all my testing is by trial and error.

I have been looking for an engine shop with a dyno that i can give my motor to so they can squeeze all the hp possible out of the motor but i just cant seem to find one.

that is what i have been doing for the last few years. lol
