My second girl 12 year old, Candy was diagnosed with bone cancer last week. The cancer caused her leg to break and the cancer had spread into her lungs. Long hard decision decided to have her put too sleep last Monday. This thread actually kinda helps remind of all the good times when I had 3 Rottweilers, other girl Bailey died from cancer a year and a half ago---My boy Buddy, is kinda depressed and thinking should get a puppy or two.

It was the hardest decision to put mine down a few months ago. But the right thing to do. Its got to be toughest on the kids.

Thanks... It was a hard decision, but the right one. She is running and playing with her sister, so thats a lot better than being 3 legged in extreme pain with limited mobility!

Still kinda hard to look at pictures of my girls, Bailey the younger died last year. I've decided to get another, trying to decide between a puppy or a 10 month old boy. The latter looks near exact to his half brother:

Heres Little Leo, All grown up now

He had a bad day today. He punched out the window in the spare bedroom

(damn Boxer heritage) . He cut his leg pretty bad and had to get some stitches. He also made my house look like murder scene, there's blood everywhere, carpet, white bedspread in the spare bedroom, even all the way outside (to bark at the neighbors before I caught him) and the bathroom looks like I was cutting up a body (where I bandaged him up for the trip to the vet)

. Good thing he did it early this mourning when I was still home, or he might not have lasted the day.

Totals for the day (so far) $400 for the vet, $100 for the window. Looks like I'm not going to Long Beach for the races.

Damnit proppy, you need to get that boy some gloves he shouldn't be bareknuckle boxing at his young age.

On a serious note, I'm really glad you found him when you did. He surely would have been in a bad way if you hadn't.

Yea, he was a lucky little guy today. And he is doing fine, I have to keep calming him back down. He wants to go bark at the neighbors dogs again (he doesnt like them).

Bad thing about today, other than the obviouse, was that as soon as he woke up at the vets he tried to attack another dog

, he could hardly stand up but he was ready fight

. Good thing there was still a muzzle on him. When he goes back to get the stiches removed hes going to get the "snip snip" treatment, I hope it calms him down a bit. And the vet gave me a name and number for a realy good trainer that works with big, bad, dogs. Dont get me wrong, he loves people, and even his vet (she's about 100lbs soaking wet) says he listens realy good, until theres other animals around. $:-\$

Jeff-

That sounds EXACTLY like his dad, to a T. He loves people from babies to cotton tops but he has a built in hatred for other dogs, I don't get it. When I had him snipped it settled him down a bit, I probably should have done it sooner to really get the full effect, they do have him down as an aggressive dog at the vet's office though.

Yea, like father like son

. He is a realy nice guy at home, just like his dad. And as soon as someone comes over he runs to get a toy so he can play with them

. Funny thing is he likes other dogs that are "bully breeds". He gets along fine with a few Boxers and Pits in the neighborhood and likes my other neighbors Staffie. Maybe he still remembers mom and dad. Just dont let him see a Shepard, lab, or anything fluffy. And as you know Skip, cats are out of the question. I think thats why he broke the window, cat in the yard.

New addition to the SCJB Canine family! The kids' Christmas present arrived a little bit early, but is he a handful of testosterone! His name is Ruger.

Moo is a little upset and confused. The little guy keeps picking fights and is likely gonna get beat up by a girl pretty quick, lol.
