Drove by Pyramid today at about 3:00. The wind was soooo bad that the lake was white capping. For most of us the drive is about another 30 min. past Castaic. If everyone is willing to change to Castaic that might be a better option. I put a poll so please vote. See ya all next weekend.

At Castaic the secret is to get there before 9AM. After that it gets to suckin'.

Somebody asked about pyramid's launch ramp.... It's a much smaller ramp, it's not as long, it's half as wise (if that) and I wouldn't be able to gauge the grade correctly... However, you can camp at pyramid right above the launch ramp. BTW, if you're planning to go to pyramid on a summer's day you definitely want to be there early. We typically camp out in line...

That's why you camp out. When you camp out you can't reserve places in line... Unless you're willing to deal with people who may be considered linguistically challenged within our borders.

STORY TIME!
 Had to deal with one guy last week at the gas station. We were waiting for a pump for 15 minutes. The guy is leaving and since we're towing a boat it's a little more difficult to snag a spot... With perfect timing a border brother and van full of family pulls in. I jump out of the truck and am trying to explain to him that we had been waiting while he's telling me in near perfect english that he doesn't understand english (he must get A LOT of practice saying that line).  So I resort to hand signals. As I am getting increasingly upset the guys in the back of the van are laughing. At this point it's either give in to my temper or just stand in front of the van. Stand in front of the van was my choice. He reluctantly backed up and we took our rightful spot at the pump just to find out the station was out of premium!!!!!!! So we had to go to another gas station.

Looks like Castaic is winning the poll. Sorry Pyramid people. What time and where does everybody want to meet. I am planning on leaving the OC about 7:00am. Should put me at the launch ramp by 8:45ish. Looks like "undone" is going to have a new ride. I think he should give us a pull around the lake to break it in. Who's with me?

I'll be there on Sunday the 26th @ 6AM, I can meet you guys at the dock at 9. If you want a tow behind the new boat I'd suggest getting there @ 9 or earlier cuz the water starts getting pretty shitty with all the boats out there.
