the only part of boating i hate is the part where i have to put life aside so that i can have time to actually go and enjoy it.  all the countless hours in the garage, sore back, etc and i havent even been able to hit the lake nor will I probably even be able to go with season with the new rugrat.  thats what i hate... i wish there was a button that beamed me to my boat in the water at any given moment.
wait a few months All my kids have been in the boat at a real young age. Works out great too they sleep better in the boat then they do at home

When we first get in the boat and get going my little girl would scream her head off for about a minute and then be sawin logs with the towel over her head just like that!
They're like parrots.
Put a towel over them and it's lights out!
I think some of it has to do with the wind in their faces too .

What do I hate about boating? Weekend warriors that just bought their boats without knowing the first thing about boating!!
Wake boat boats ad the douche bags that borrow them from their father.

Park Rangers and county Sheriffs!!

Wake board boats... But wait someone designed a wake surfing boat.  Because a 4 foot wake wasn't enough we now have to contend with a 6+ foot roller on the river.

I really don't see what pisses you off. I grew up on ski boats and I don't see why a new sport advancing is bad. I get that low slung boats and big wakes don't mix but it up to the person to be a dick behind the wheel not the sport

X2 on that shit. I'll be doing more boating on the lower river. Hopefully it will be too shallow for boats like that. Or mid week boating when most of those boats are at home on the trailer.

I have thrown in the towel so many times the boat gets shiny just from terry cloth running across it.

Any more, I am buried by so many projects that it seems I'll never be on the water....  :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Yeah let's see them make a six foot wave when your in three foot of water. I've been floating hanging on to the boat for a min and then standing walking waist deep on the lower river.that's why I love it there not to many big  boats or wake boats

The sport? I don't have a problem with the tsunami generators out there when the water is torn to shit, but they intentionally screw the water up for everyone else when could just as easily stay out of peoples way.

I have wanted to confront these asshats on numerous occasions. Just this last year we had one cruise right by our houseboat close enough that I could see the gauges in the boat... There was NOBODY on the lake, lake Shasta that is. 365 Miles of shoreline and these tools think we want to see what they're doing. Up close.

It is only a "sport" when they are courteous to other boaters.

Just my opinion.

Oh I feel you on that, I was almost ran over up on the Delta by som dude running bow up on the inside corner. Boat hit my ski right as I got my foot out. We also had a skier roost our 2 boats once my dad chased him down jumped on the others guy boat and throw his keys in the water. Respect is a big thing on the water.

We are actually thinking of getting a place lower river we just want to be on the water chill with good people and I gotta get some high speed runs in.

I enjoy polishing VC's and manifolds as well as detailing the boat. I've got far more time into doing maintenance and upgrades than I have actual time in the seat.

I do, however, have more fun (respectfully) riding the Superjet than I do piloting the boat. The boat is fun, but three times a week, the stand up is easier and more fun.

I hear you on that. Love taking my Superjet out on the river at dusk. Plus it's the only time I like rough water lol
