Vessel property statement

So I'm a new boat owner and received the tax notice in the mail a month or so ago. I filled out the letter and sent it back to the county I paid 7500 for the boat. How much tax am I going to pay?

Ok. I'm confused now, do I have to pay anything or do I just full out the form. Wants to know what size engine n make and where its being stored and all that.

That statement is an assessment of taxes that will be done. I only had to fill it the year I purchased my boat, apparently it fell until there limit line for having to pay the tax. Because I've never receive it again.

Should be based on the counties value of the boat.

What's the process of registering your boat in Arizona if I do not live there nor do I have a second residence there. My boat is stored in Blythe (California side). I would like to get away from paying this luxury tax on my boat that I bought last year

From my understanding you only have to pay luxury tax on boats over 24 ft I have never had to pay and I had a 22 foot mini day

You have to go to their fish and wildlife office and pay out of state registration fees. Instead of $30 it's $230

It's the purchase price. Depending how much you paid for your boat will determine if you get taxed or not. Every county might be a little different, but I gotta pay for my 20'. Size doesn't matter in this case haha!

What did you put under type of boat and what would I put if I just bought the hull and trailer. Didn't have a motor when purchased.

Reading this, I am so glad I left California a few years ago. I miss a lot of things about living there, but I think living here is much better.
They tried to garnish the kid's wages. He's in the Navy and was stationed in Monterey for a year and a half. He's now in Georgia (since Nov) and California was coming after him for his Mercedes and Harley registration. Said that they didn't care when he left, they wanted their money. He had to go through about 3 different ignorant fools before he got to the supervisor.
