I have SW Gauges and just purchased SW sending units.. When I turn the key on they max out before the boat is even started. Any help would be great. Would like to get the boat on the water this week.

yup when you ground the sender wire it makes the gauges peg. 

Actually, check the ground to the gages, if the ground is gone, they will peg as well...

I doubt seriously all the gages are wired incorrectly...

Wired to teh same ground. Isn't that what you are supposed to do by piggy backing them?

What they're sayin is, go back over all your hard work and make SURE you didn't break a wire, or a connection. Pretty easy to eliminate or break a ground point. Done it myself. Yes, I have yet to see a boat that doesn't have all the gounds tied to one going to the engine block or battery. They are daisy chained all together so if ALL of them are failing and werent before, look closely at where you been and go from there.......

The worst I have done recently was to fiberglass a box of nuts and bolts to the floor of White Trash II, that chit gets runny when the weather warms up LOL...
