Just checked on my pump rebuild. Thank you Jim Brock for taking care of this. If you guys remember, my new energizer pump from last year failed. I didn't know why. Jim's original assessment was that I ran the pump on the trailer (which I didn't). Then I was thinking that the pump failed because I was backing my wife in the water and I didn't know she was closing the reverse bucket. Well when Jim took it apart, he found some interesting stuff. A Berkeley wear ring (the thick one) was epoxied into the adapter, no insulator. The impeller wasn't the energizer one and didn't fit the bowl right. The thrust bearing was shielded on both sides. Water seal was gone. The shaft was scored and the correct thrust bearing would just slide off of the shaft. Son of a gun.
