ok just got back and inexperience and stupidity go hand in hand

went to fire up the race boat and it started and then made a horrible screech and the motor shuts off wtf

my buddie matt says its your pump and i tried again, same thing fock, fock ,fock. so i call jim brock and tell him what has happend he says bring it in NOW

this is 5pm and lots of traffic so we truck it down to the valley rip the bowl off nothing shaft spins good, not the bearing as i had thought. so we rip the motor out pull the impeler and WHAMO, jim say you dry fired the pump and i said yes at the races to warm up the engine. uh-oh this aint gunna be good im thinkin. but as in true fashion jim says no problem i can fix it, i said tonight?

? and off to work he went new bushings in the bowl then over to the lathe with the impeller and shaft as he yells put those wear rings in the damn freezer, so i do as i'm told and sit like a scallded puppy because i feel like an ass. then he breaks out the torch and goes to work on getting the wear ring out, out it comes works his magic in the insalator then quick, get me the wear ring out of the freezer so i do as im told. and WHAMO its in.
then we clearance the impellor and get the rest of the pump together and matt and myself through the motor back in. it's been a hell of a night, but its done except for the wiring and thats easy. i learnd a real good lesson guys DONT RUN YOUR BOAT ON THE TRAILER................................
...............
i cant say enough for jim brock other than without him i would not be going as you guys can see. he work until 12am to get me out there.
SO THANK YOU JIM BROCK AT CYCLONE SPEED AND MARINE
oh yeah terry i have your blower and will be bringing it with me, sorry i didnt call you but as you can see i was busy.
