Nafta (Clinton) was a good start for most of what we see now. He said it would balance the budget but didn't mention the consequence. A fair way to gain back American made is to raise import fees an lower export fees. Also any company/affiliates bringing in unsafe, similar or cheaply made products are fined, jailed an can no longer sell to this country ever again.
NAFTA killed everything.
It pretty much eliminated profitable plant nurseries, this includes the food we eat, flowers, seed production.
It allowed automotive companies to out source much of the parts on new cars to come from third world's and it's funny, but while the cars are being made less expensively, the MSRP prices went up by the biggest margin in decades.
It did clean up "our" air and water, but destroyed it in other countries (not sure how that is environmentally friendly) . All we did was relocate the responsible environmental practices and sent to countries that sell off their drinkable water and breathable air for profits to build up their military, awesome.
It made competing in this country as "the little guy" virtually impossible. Making the bigger fish bigger and more predatory, allowing them to swallow up all the American Dreamers.
And it didn't really balance the budget, it sold us to other countries for a profit. Now I think that what we lost, we can never get back. Especially when all we get in the White House are special interest Ding Dongs and have to pick the candidate with the least amount of visible dirt on them.
Look at the current prospects. Really? Is like grocery shopping at a land fill.
Ted Turner needs to be convinced to run. Not on an independent ticket either, as much as I hate to say it, as a Democrat. He would kick ass.
Gotta go get some breakfast. Feeling like dog crap. Lol.
