I've heard quite a few good things about them. You have any info on them? This is my first .357 and I couldn't pass this bad boy up with the sticker price 10 years ago being $750 I bought it UNFIRED for $250 from my ole lady's grandfather. I've also heard you can fire a .38 through the .357? I measured the .38 pill and found it to be .357 in diameter at its largest point????? ANY INFO ANYBODY? Because .38 is a whole lot cheaper for target shooting!

He's got a S&W .44 mag for sale along with a German Luger, .30 carbine, an Italian .25?(don't remember brand), Beretta .22LR revolver with the secondary hornet cartridge cylinder, Beretta 9mm, another 9mm. A lot of good stuff. I don't remember the others... If anyone is interested let me know. All of the guns are at least 10 years old.
My friends grandfather just died. He left behind a tremendous safe full of firearms, crossbows, knives, etc. I should have a list pretty soon if anyone is interested. All $HIGH$ stuff for cheap. Lot's of shotguns, etc.

Dan Wesson Firearms are some of the best...... that's why the price keeps going up on them.
As for the AR15, another great weapon that is on the ban list....... good luck with that.

In support of this thread and the 2nd amendment. I bought a J-fame Dan Wesson Arms .357 Magnum over the weekend. Pickup date is Jan. 30th. Can't wait. Next month we'll see about an ar-15.
Cooooool; my first gun, and still have it; bought it when I was 18 (sadly, that was nearly 30 years ago); 6" barrel; I replaced the stock large wood grip (but kept it) with a smaller one; always wanted to get the full set of barrels but never did (I'd at least like to have the 2"; that would increase the recoil  :o )
What size barrel does yours have?

I've heard quite a few good things about them.
Dan Wesson made an excellent revolver; was used primarly for competitive target shooting because of it's amazing accuracy; the only major criticism of the revolver is it takes both hands to open the cylinder (the mechanism is in front of the cylinder and is pushed down, as opposed to being behind and pushed forward); unless you're in a gun battle, that makes no difference.
Dan Wesson went out of business some time ago; it has been acquired and reaquired several times but never came back with any resolve; the best I can determine, the Dan Wesson rights are now held by:
http://danwesson.sectordevelopment.com/article/about

UNFIRED
That seems unlikely, but possible; they haven't made this gun in many years so it's hard to believe it's been around for that long and never fired; but possible.

$250
Good price

I've also heard you can fire a .38 through the .357?
Yes; and for messing around, that's the way to go; I keep my loaded with .357 hallows at home but for shooting I use mostly .38's but always need to let go several rounds of .357's (otherwise may as well own a .38).
NOTE: Just for fun, when you're shooting with someone who can handle a gun, load up 5 .38's and 1 .357; be sure to have the .357 in the last chamber; let the person fire the gun and they'll think it's a bee-bee gun (firing the .38's) then they get to the last round - BAM!RECOIL; I love that  >:D .

S&W .44 mag
"The most powerful handgun ever made" ; "Do ya feel lucky punk; well do ya!" - Dirty Harry; mid 70's (was just on the other day). BTW, .44 mag is no longer the most powerfull handgun.

Beretta 9mm, another 9mm
I'd be interested to know how much for those and what size they are.

not me

If you don't know yet on the barrel length, my guess is 6"; that was the most common.

I don't really shop around; I usually buy a box each time I go to Walmart for something; that way I'm only spending a little now and then, it builds up the supply, and have plenty when the time comes; opposed to spending alot at one time.

Yeah i used to do the same thing for my pistols, but with all my semi automatics it doesnt make sence to buy 20rnds at a time ::) thats gets way to expensive and is not practical.

But i do see what you are saying ;)
