I don't normally vent personal crap here much, but gotta....

So, last year, my lovely wife decided to foster some really young kittens from the animal shelter (she is more of an animal lover than anyone I know) these guys were only two weeks old.....Too young to adopt out.
Soooooo, she bottle fed and cleaned these three little cats and actually had one almost die twice, she brought it into the animal shelter to get some injectable fluids for it because of dehydration and one of the workers recognized the kitten and said "I think we have the mom"...it was being held in the Ferrel cat area....Yeah!... so she came home with another cat...

Turns out, all of these guys are just cool as hell, very friendly and literally starving for attention...
Don't get me wrong, I love animals too, but four?

Anyway, she was able to get them all healthy and my kids fell in love with all of them (gee, didn't see that one coming...LOL) and we ended up adopting all four, two males, one female and the mom...
It made my wife the happiest person on the planet just seeing them healthy, she has had a hell of a last couple years.....

Well, last week, we lost track of the young female my wife called Gracie, she turned up dead in a field next to our house and it looked like a Coyote attack. My wife was absolutely inconsolable..

I ended up burying it Saturday morning. Well, Sunday we lost track of the mom (she was very young her self) and still has not shown up, I have looked everywhere, no sign at all.
I have no idea what to do.
So my daughter was planning on going to Japan for the "Journey Of The Lifetime" with their marching band in high school, we have been saving every extra penny for a year, which I don't have to tell you is hard to do right now.....
She came home from band practice tonight and they canceled it because of the funding. I guess the dollar is weak compared to the Yen....making the trip impossible. I just wish they would quit letting these kids down, this is not the first time they have been disappointed and probably not the last..

I will be having a conversation with the band director this week, he is really starting to let me down as a person these kids look up to...I simply cannot leave it alone at this point.
And to make matters worse, my son is having some difficulties in school, and not wanting any help, it's funny, he aces all the tests, but can't seem to get the homework turned in. He is too proud to admit failure (gee, didn't see that one coming either).
Anyways, thank for reading the drivel, it is just difficult to be in a house where virtually nobody is happy.....

Hope things are going better for all of you guys, if not hang in there.
I honestly don't know how some of you guys do it....
