« on: January 03, 2008, 12:45:54 PM »
Well i dont think my tanks are original and dont think they will go back in the right way. I think i need long skinny tanks mine are just to round and really dont fit right.

See what i mean.

The fit has nothing to do with how much they are worth! Your gonna tell me the price you can sell them for changes if they don't fit your particular boat? Every set of round tanks I have sold on ebay ( $ sets now ) have gone for around 350 to 400 dollars a set.

Like these? I was thining of going to tanks like yours if they will fit. Mine are Imco's which are one of the best built and are perfect in  everyway. They just need to have the glue stripped off em and a polish or just recarpet or whatever

These are 44" long and 8" diameter. They do have more shine to them but they have been sitting in the shed for months ;)

Thanks I did the whole thing myself. It is the bed liner kit made by Dupli Color. It went on pretty easy. There is 3 layers of mat and cloth under there to. It took 3 weekends.

How hard is it to keep clean ???

My rhino liner in my truck collected dirt in its pores, sort of speak. Can you just hose it out?

It cleans up real well. It comes with a texture roller but I just used a brush and left it smooth so I didnt have that problem. Get the kit from Wal Mart is was $50. I paid like $68 at AutoZone. I was told to use the Dulpicolor cause it has a good amount of polyester resin which is what is used in boats anyways. I dinged it pretty good and just brushed some more on and u cant even tell.

Who can give me some names of places to get fuel tanks?  If the one's Jim has dont fit i will have no choice but to sell these and buy some new or used one's :o  for the price of new tanks it might be cheaper and easier to find another boat with them already in it ;)

Or even fix the Omega >:D

How would i measure to find the fit for a tank? as you can see the round tanks dont fit. I dont know how they had them mounted before ???  I do know they were mounted ( bolted ) to the Hull!
