unless this is something new....i have to disagree....i've done it before.

I don't know how long it has been in affect, but the California privacy laws limit how much information can be given without authorization.

The chassis manufacturer that we do warranty work for has recently sent out another round of recall notices to clients that they did not have complete information for.  I had been told the last time they sent out notices that they had to get help from the NHTSA or a Court order to get the information needed.

Pulled the pan today ???
This is the oil pick up

And this is the thick substance in the pan ???

i think now i know why it lost oil pressure so quickly, there was silicon in the pick up aswell . I have not checked the bearings yet , but this will be my builder for my next engine ;D

So THAT"S how they make metallic paint! Always wondered..... lol

Honestly though, If you filter all that out through a coffee filter (COuld take months), I'll bet you get enough material outta that to cast a new piston.........

Sad part is, there is probably very little metal in it, that is what we call a Banana milkshake :P that is what you get when you have water in the oil and the engine runs, looks like a 6 month olds diaper after eating four bowl of cream of wheat  ;D Don't ask!

I will make a recomendation on the best way to clean it up though...Use a heat gun and the water will start to separate out due to the different boiling points, should take about an hour or two, so grab a couple of beers  ;)

He's working on someone else's boat all day tomorrow and that makes him closer to having his own boat finished???   :screwy:

Sounds a little fishy to me.

People say you keep getting a little closer with each project to actually finishing one.  Seems like if you spent as much time wrenching as you do typing these threads, you'd have all four of them done by now...

Well, I for one kinda agree with Steve on this one. Or at least see where his heads at. Gotta keep FIL happy, if FIL happy, G/F happy, all goes well, everybody puts out, no worries about poisoned CoCo Puffs.......etc. etc etc.... Wouldn't want to be the subject matter of the trial that sends FIL back to prison either....... Such a quagmire!! :banghead:

Besides, his Beaner is the closest thing to seaworthy I've seen yet, and I've only been on the site a couple of months. even AFTER looking at all the old posts! Somebody go give this guy a hand before I take my vacation time or hire some help from the Circle K here to help him do it!

Look at the pot calling the kettle black, lol. I'm just as bad. Once my new oil pan and pickup arrive, we'll be ready to post picks of my "Udder" one as GT calls it. Should be in the water weekend after next for a test, or God unwilling, a rescue.....

Hey Steve....   I'm Ken...  I may be new to this site but I know a lot more SHIT than you think.

My apologies though, I wasn't trying to piss you off. Just having a little fun on the boards.  I see what's going on here with all your different projects and willingness to give up when you run into a snag.  So forgive me for being a new member on the site.  I wasn't trying to burst your bubble, just to spice things up a little bit.  Ahhh, the sweet smell of success...  Maybe you'll smell that smell someday.   ;)

And on with the Eliminator.

Motor is in ;D I spent all day on this bitch and my FIL owes me BIG TIME :D I still need a few things to finish it, gaskets, carb adapter ( stock manifold ) :banghead:

Add some oil and put in in the river to fire this pig.. I told him after this you are on your own ;)  well see what happens!!

Notice the new V/C's ;D that carb is only there to keep the dust and dirt out.. got a new one on the shelf for it..
Thanks again Tom for hooking us up.....
