Please don't laugh at this rookie.  I've been trying to get my engine , set in the boat. I've read just about everything I could read on this subject from this page. This is why I'm reaching out for help. I cannot seem to get my engine to sit right to get the driveline angle to be within spec. I have same Gen engine same rail kit with mounts as previous owner. Only difference is my oil pan is 1/8 deeper then his. I love raised the front , drop the back done just about everything I think I could possibly do to get this thing to sit correctly.  My pump is set at 4° my engine with mounts sits at 4°  and my drive is still ready 16°. From what I've read this is waaaaayyyyy to far from being ok. If any one is willing to come over and look at what I'm fighting. I am opened mined and have a fridge full of beers or whatever your poison is to make it worth your wild. Like I said I've read all the driveline post and tried most of what I could. Just not feeling very positive about my situation.  In advance Thanks.

Fullerton . I can't achieve zero without my pan bottoming out on intake bolt. Think the best I got was like 6 and that was with it touching.  Don't remember exact number my brain is being fried from the stress

Look up Hamburgers,  Stefs, Dooley, Milodon,  Canton. They all make a pretty nice jet boat pan with a shallow sump.

Are the front intake bolts excessively long?  Usually it is required to trim them so only about 1 thread is sticking out of the nuts.

8" is deep for a jet.  Most actual jet boat pans are 7-1/2" depth.

8" is the same as a truck pan.

Not that I would know anything about that though. .....

Heat the pan and whack it with a ball peen hammer in the troublesome spot.  Done!
