Looks like a stock crank, what's the bore? How did you get 496ci?

I see #5 main cap doesn't have the most important oiling mod...oil drain back holes aren't enlarged

What do you have done to the heads? Other than roller tip rocker arms?

Cross over is wide open...

it has an eagle rotating assembly 4.5 inch stroke cast steel crank with 7.1inch eagle forged rods 4.185 Mahle pistons.

it has main and lifter restrictors

Stainless steel valves and a little port work was also done

What's the compression height of those pistons?

What's the difference between main and lifter restrictors?

Are you going to be running headers on that engine?

What cam is in it?

I don't know the comp height or the difference other than where they go.

Yup running twisties. They didn't braise the two inner exhaust port dividers.

The cam that was in it was in such good shape still we had it reground and reused it. It's an engle 2725h hydraulic cam. they changed the lobe center to 110* from 108*

No point in braising the Siamese port wall if the cross overs weren't filled...

Why change the lobe center?

Are your headers water injected?

They go inside the lifter bores.

It had a reversion problem. Which is the main reason why they did the port work cause it had so much rust in them

Ok so last night while I was installing the headers I noticed something that left me boggled. Keep in mind I don't have the ground wire on the battery or the boat. The power wire threw out the hole boat is melted

Dual filter for more cooling? I didnt know oil getting hot was a problem on a oil restricted olds with a big pan. Maybe thats why im getting a little pressure drop on long runs on my olds even with a 12qrt pan.

We had it setup this way with the old motor. Our engine builder said to just keep running it. I don't know if it helps for cooling the old motor didn't have restrictors and only had a 5 quart pan. With the cooler and filters I would come in to the no wake at Elsinore after a good run and it would have like 10 psi. Of course that's after a full throttle run across the whole lake.

The lowest ive ever seen mine drop is 20 and thats after 20 min at 4-4500 rpms. But it also idles at 500 rpms so if i goose the throttle a bit itll jump to 30-35

How did none of this catch fire and how does this happen without a ground. This was perfectly fine a week ago. Were replacing this harness with wire from pep boys just to get me to havasu on the forth after that I'll replace with better stuff.

There's no way that could have happened with the battery disconnected. Probably happened last time you were running and didnt notice it. Pretty lucky she didnt catch fire tho!

Just have to wire the fuel pump relay +&- and the wire to the coil and it's ready to fire.as soon as I took this photo the bow light bulb went out 😡.
