Mount the pump where it won't get wet. I used to run a blue holley. First one failed (leaked) after a season and a half. Second one also failed but half way through season. This time I decided to take it apart. There is a tiny hole on the body. Water got in through there and rusted the shaft just behind that hole. The rust on the shafts ate up the seal. It's probably what caused the first one to leak too. Ruined my day both times. I will never run one in a boat ever again. Now I have mechanical. No switch, wiring, or relay to fail. Good luck.
