I’m still working on the process, trying to collect information. I have an idea of what I’m going to do, but haven’t had any one tell me if it’s right or wrong. I haven’t had much input at all, which is kind of scaring me.
I have a friend who owns a boat repair shop, he use to race a alcohol drag boat called Hydrophobia. I’ll have him look it over.
The big concern I have is, if the stringers are super stiff and rigid, when the boat flexes, if the stringers do not will they separate from each other, (stringers away from the boat). This is my concern about using carbon fiber. If you ARE looking for the stringers to be super stiff and rigid then this should not be a problem. I’m still looking for the answer.
I was thinking wet lay-up the stringers, and vacuum bag as many times as needed. Then after fitting the stringers to the boat, wet lay-up and vacuum bag them into the hull, as many times as needed.
Any and all input appreciated. Thanks, schick
