I had a problem with my pump bouncing out of the plastic bracket when i hit rough water. What i did was, put a piece of innertube between the transom and the hyd pump tightened the screws and it has not bounced out since (2yrs) Last summer one fo my Park Moabi trips had some storrmy weatheron the way back from needles was one hell of a test thot i was on the ocean and it didnt budge   Mark

Mine stopped workin once (cuz it was upside down) and have yet to figure out a way to bolt it back down .

How did your pump get up side down?  I'm mounting mine to the transom since the hydraulic lines come in through the transom housing.  I am wondering if I should put a wedge in between the pump and the transom since there is some degree of slant.  I was also thinking about drilling some over sized holes, epoxy in some hard wood dowels for the mounting screws to bite into rather than the old plywood.  The plywood doesn't look all that bad, just would rather have something a little more solid.

Here's a thought, thread the hard wood dowel and tap the hole then epoxy it in place.  Should add even more gripping power.

Jus my .02 but the rubber trick i did was real simple, and its like the rubber takes alot of the shock and takes the slip factor away. Another  thing i should prolly mention is it wasnt inner tube but a type of rubber from where i work, very similar to an inneer tube but thicker. Pm me and i can send ya a piece if ya want one. Mark

we bought a box with a cover and bolted it to the stringers and the cover had a strap to hold down

never had any problems with movement

Well, I mounted the pump to the inside fo the transom and now need to figure out how to connect those plastic lines to the pump. You can see the lines going up over the back.  The pump connections are on this end of the pump just below the solenoids.  Any one have any suggestions?

with all the pounding you are going to have the way you mounted the pump will probaby pull the screws out because of not being supported in the front=as i suggested on previous post -bulkhead fittings will work well and you donot need to caulk around them and they are a solid mount against the transom=i have had ours for three years with no leaks and no moving around problems

plus an enclosed box box might be better as you donot have to worry about water getting into any connections or such and makes a cleaner looking installation
