The 12JE and the 12JG are very different pump systems, different intakes, and different steering set-ups. To go from a 12JE to a 12JG requires extensive hull modifications that I personally would only leave to a professional.

To elaborate on what Rod said ,E & F pumps are what we call "insert jets' they built/designed "set back" mostly out side the boat , the parts are for the most part interchangable with the exception of the  main body/suction piece . A swap would be alot of work like he said ,the E's can actually be made to work quite respectably with a few simple mods , I know of folks with moderate HP running very respectable numbers with E's . Josh is "cookin up" some stuff as we speak ,as one of his boats is an RE test bed ,I'm sure he'll chime in later Tom

just a note with E pumps "flying the boat" can be seriously detrimental to the suction housing ,due to "shock loading"

He means treatin your full size boat like a Seadoo and jumpin it off of waves/wakes :banghead: ;D And shock loading is just that "unload/reload", the psi can be so powerfull from the reload it can blow inspection covers, crack suctions....

Yes you can but the routing of all your controls is completely diffrent from the insert style (E and F )pumps to a G or C style pump. There another thread on this very subject .

Berkeley 12JB, 12JC, 12JG, 12JR are interchangeable. The 12JC has a one pice bowl and the rest I listed are split bowl pumps. There may be others interchangeable as well?

I've been told that the JC bowl is actually the best performance bowl because the way the veins are made.  I may have mistaken what was said.

You're right, but nowadays you might as well go to a Agressor 9 vane or other more modern choice before going to a one-piece 12JC.

Well, until the day comes that I think I want to race, I guess I'll just stick with my old JC and Place Diverter.

Nearly all bowls in the Berkely style jets ;Berk,Turbine,Dom,Aggressor, Legend are interchangable (some minor mods and changes may be required) Good luck finding an Aggressor 9 (very scarce/good design) Please call if you need tech help or coaching  Tom

The bolt pattern and the resister would be incorrect.  Even if it would fit I don't belive there would be any advantage over the WJ Energizer bowl.

any little bit I can get out of my pump without having to do a pump swap. I guess if I have to swap, I have a berk on stand by.

why? thats like putting a turbo on a civic.

Thanks Josh. Just looking at what I can do before pulling the trigger on a pump swap. I'll run the energizer and see what it does for me.
