You will need to check the depth, a jet with a standard driveline can have clearance issues.

I like the Dooley pans and have seen them priced right used..   But Hamburgers are prettier.

I love the Dooley pan on the Pickle! PLENTY of clearance compared to the Milodon I put on Moo, but man are they pricey! This is the first I'm hearing on the Hamburger pans. Would love to see some detailed pics of one.

Looks like all good suggestions. Yeah, I would dump the heads and find some 990's or better. Ton's of good oval ports out there and can run with the best of 'em. Here's a pretty good deal I was lookin at for myself!

Rect ports are great, but bring a fat wallet for the good ones. Personally, unless you are restoring a classic 'Vette or Chevelle, I'd leave 'em be and go aluminum.

I'm probably the wrong person to chime in on this, as I've been an obscene tipper when I receive adequate to great service. Some of you are witness to this. (I know how it works......). My fault is in not carrying cash very often and the damn debit card that they HAVE to declare. I try and offset this.

It is true, in the food beverage industry their minimum wage is nothing, based on the "tip" portion to make up at least the difference. I think, though, if I remember correctly, if a certain worker did NOT make the minimum wage for hours worked with their compensation and declared tips added for a certain period of time, the employers had to make up the difference. Dunno how thats enforced, but that is the law as I understand it. But as an employer, if I have anyone NOT making that minimum wage consistently, they are probably going to be promoted to customer very quickly.

Now, most bartenders and waitresses (Waiters) I know give excellent service. I recruited every outstanding one I could, and most of those were making far beyond what I can offer to start in retail. I know bartenders making ( some on, some off the books) in excess of $15 an hour for a part time gig.

Tip how you feel you should, but understand the system of their compensation and greed of their employer knowing that. Etiquette and some group of snobs that dine out every day in NYC cannot tell you what the magic percentage is and how to guage what.

make sure that you aint leaving anything out and make sure the diverter goes all the way up! thats a split bowl too there's always wedges!

ok i couldnt get my fat ass off of the couch but now i will and start working on my boat....gonna go through the carb again, and pull the valve covers, also check the oil cause i had some water in there see if that burned out...install a second oil pressure gauge for confirmation on my oil psi and WAX it up....

Already has a 3 degree wedge (I think) on it. But yeah, this one can benefit from some grinding to get a few more degrees out of it pretty handily. Moo's maxed out pretty much out of the box! 

Now that I've jacked and twisted this thread all to hell anyway, DOES anyone have one of these valves around? Would be nice to stay as original as I can on this one?

I think the thing that most impressed me was that when running the diverter down roughly 5 degrees, the boat picked up some speed (very noticeable) compared to straight out. makes me wonder why the wedge was put in there to begin with with the std nozzle. Full up it lost very little, compared to Moo when full up, steering it was much easier in that mode tho. This was all on nearly glass like water too. Time will tell how much it helps this lil thing in the "Deadliest Catch" season at Saguaro....

2 running, Moo and Pickle, the Saguaro will be VERY soon, the Hallett, haven't even dreamed up what I want to do with it yet. Couple possibilities if I keep it.
