To lives well lived! as I raise my glass. Been too much of this young tragedy here! Hopefully we are all taking note and want to go out similarly, and with no regrets.

Sorry for your loss John, yeah, it's hard to understand at a younger age like that (52?)

And you too Skip!

No Need for a new post Dave. Actually makes the info easier to find. Besides, see any of 2Sav's posts under like 25 pages?

Makes the info all in one place. Just my opinion, but should make it easier for any new members to find it.

Anyway, sounds like you're on the right track. "Borrowed" a Ridgid Probe cam today "to try it out". Mine are 2443F's, not quite what you have. Didn't know they made different forgings with basically the same part number, lol Go figure why they're out of business.

Glenn, you wanna attempt my 750's with a hangover? no digital info, just spark plugs! I may bring it up there for yah, lol

This surprises me though, and been bugging me. The lake is 10 times busier on the weekend, why are they doing it on a Saturday? Would it not make sense to do it during the week? AND, no O/T for the guys doing it.

Was gonna post pics from Saturdays ride, but in feeling caddy's pain, gonna leave it alone.

Trailers / Re: It's getting warm out !
« on: May 10, 2009, 10:10:36 PM »
Thats why I brought it up. we get so caught up in getting our shit running and forget about that cheesy rusted out "saftey chain" or half assed coupler that barely does it's job.
I'd rather spend a weekend at home bullet proofing my trailer than a day on the side of a hot ass road with the wife and kids barkin my ear off.  :banghead:

-beerjet-

With ya on that. The Moo's trailer is all ready and like new. The Blue one, well, needs some minor attention, although I'm on top of it (My couple years running the QC dept at U-Haul's Tech Center haunting me) and glad you brought it up, because I plan some long hauls with it this year (Might even take it instead of the Moo for my fathers day week tour, jury's out on that still).

The Moo's ready for anything.

GREAT THREAD!

Omar, and just thinking out loud here, and off the cuff which has nearly gotten me banned b4, but since your pump is painted John Deere Green, how about "A Stage Beyond Blue Balled"?, or "Gang Bang Green" or "got Lime?". How about these? "Rumper Stumper", "Mangina", or "man Candy"?

I can keep going, but I'm prolly already testing Brad's patience......

GT, Continue........

First and foremost, lets look over the always neglected trailer before we make any trips huh.
Saftey chains.
Couplers.
lubed bearings .
lights.
TIRES TIRES TIRES!
Check your fuking broken down ass tires!

feel free to add  8)

-beerjet-

Check your wiring, stuff some petoleum jelly into the connectors, check for hanging wires and piss poor connections (Like the el cheapo quick connectors). Don't forget all tow vehicle inspection points. Check your receiver bolts, ball tightness and hitch pins. Check the hitch and latch itself and oil/grease it up a bit.

Oh and yeah, check your fuking broken down ass tires! AGAIN!

Also check your bunks and fender guards, we don't want any horror stories over something silly like that.

What did I miss Omar?

Ray

Wait, already know what I missed, check for loose axle u-bolts, cracked or missing leaf springs and bad, gone or cracked shackle bushings. Lets face it, most of our boats are old, and so are the trailers.

WarZone / Sand and Stone, Happy Mothers Day
« on: May 10, 2009, 08:48:16 PM »
My daughter for some reason, emailed this to me this morning while I was at work. I think she was concerned I'd take mother's day hard. But maybe we can all relate something to this. (Sorry, took awhile to get it from my blackberry to my laptop).

"Sand & Stone
TWO FRIENDS WERE WALKING
THROUGH THE DESERT
DURING SOME POINT OF THE
JOURNEY, THEY HAD AN
ARGUMENT; AND ONE FRIEND
SLAPPED THE OTHER ONE
IN THE FACE
THE ONE WHO GOT SLAPPED
WAS HURT, BUT WITHOUT
SAYING ANYTHING,
WROTE IN THE SAND

TODAY MY BEST FRIEND
SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE

THEY KEPT ON WALKING,
UNTIL THEY FOUND AN OASIS,
WHERE THEY DECIDED
TO TAKE A BATH

THE ONE WHO HAD BEEN
SLAPPED GOT STUCK IN THE
MIRE! AND STARTED DROWNING,
BUT THE FRIEND SAVED HIM.

AFTER HE RECOVERED FROM
THE NEAR DROWNING,
HE WROTE ON A STONE:

'TODAY MY BEST FR IEND
SAVED MY LIFE'

THE FRIEND WHO HAD SLAPPED
AND SAVED HIS BEST FRIEND
ASKED HIM, 'AFTER I HURT YOU,
YOU WROTE IN THE SAND AND NOW,
YOU WRITE ON A STONE, WHY?'

THE FRIEND REPLIED
'WHEN SOMEONE HURTS US
WE SHOULD WRITE IT DOWN
IN SAND, WHERE WINDS OF
FORGIVENESS CAN ERASE IT AWAY.
BUT, WHEN SOMEONE DOES
SOMETHING GOOD FOR US,
WE MUST ENGRAVE IT IN STONE
WHERE NO WIND
CAN EVER ERASE IT'

LEARN TO WRITE
YOUR HURTS IN
THE SAND AND TO
CARVE YOUR
BENEFITS IN STONE.

THEY SAY IT TAKES A
MINUTE TO FIND A SPECIAL
PERSON, AN HOUR TO
APPRECIATE THEM
  A DAY
TO LOVE THEM, BUT THEN
AN ENTIRE LIFE
TO FORGET THEM.

SEND THIS TO
THE PEOPLE YOU'LL NEVER
FORGET.
I JUST DID.

IF YOU DON'T
SEND IT TO ANYONE,
IT MEANS YOU'RE IN A
HURRY AND THAT YOU'VE
FORGOTTEN YOUR FRIENDS.
   TAKE THE TIME TO LIVE!

DO NOT VALUE THE THINGS
YOU HAVE IN YOUR LIFE, BUT VALUE
WHO YOU HAVE IN YOUR LIFE!
AND IF I HAPPEN TO GET IT BACK,
THEN I KNOW MY PLACE IN YOUR LIFE
'Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle."

Dunno why, just thought this was important to pass on.
(gawd I must be getting soft and sappy! I need my old smart ass self back, lol)

Ok, Someone else will chime in knowing more than me, hopefully, and easily done.

#1, Marine carbs have curved bowl vents that aim excess fuel and vapors back to the venturis, as well as some other internal differences. never heard of a marine Intake manifold, but there are also marine fuel pumps with an extra outlet designed to go to a nipple on the flame arrestor to flood the engine out in case of a fuel pump diaphram failure.

#2 hadn't heard this, but might make some logical sense. Though with todays technology on spark plugs, would seem a mute point.

#3 to Quote 2Sav, "Choke, whats a Choke?" Remove it.

#4, probably, but I'm too tired to go looking either.

OK, got some pics emailed to me of the boat, we'll see if I can post them or not. (Anyone, sound familiar, Glenn, be quiet!!!)

Our DMV in Az is not that far off from insane either. The Moo boat is all (kinda) legal, on the trailer at least, but boat reg goes through fish and game. I have three Cali titles for my boats that AZ does not even title. :screwy: Left the Cali reg in place on the Moo for now, lol (The custom reg stickers look cool). The Blue one is current through 2010 so I'm leaving it alone too. Not paying the bastards double time, lol
