A submarine is interesting enough! It doesn't have to be German or Japanese or anything foreign at all. We just wanted to know more about what he was talking about. Just as mysterious as this submarine, is the reason that you jumped the gun with your name calling... If it's not a submarine, we were just curious as to what it is. Inquiring minds are the reason your account still continues to exist on this site. We all want to know something you already know about. Good God, you guys are the most gullible bunch I've ever seen, and it's not even April 1st.

So did the Germans come up through Mexico on the river, build up enough speed in their 2 man sub and jump all the other dams that were already in place and built in the 1930s, or did they just truck their submarine across the desert well after they lost the foking war, launch somewhere below Bullhead and try to blow up Davis dam which was finished in 1950-1?  ::)

They just painted it like a jet boat and snuck her right in there....

Maybe it got mixed up with this?

Lake Mead B-29 Survey: MHP archaeologists and a representative from the NOAA Dive Center joined the SRC to
document two historic sites within the Lake Mead National Recreational Area, Nevada and Arizona. The sites were
an aggregate plant used in the construction of the Hoover Dam and a B-29 Superfortress bomber that crashed into
the lake in 1948. MHP and the SRC are the only two organizations within the Federal Archaeological Program that
routinely use technical diving to document deep water sites

Here is a link with photos and a video  http://www.forensicgenealogy.info/contest_88_results.html

Or this...  http://www.lakemeadtechnicaldivers.com/galleries/bikiniatoll.html

Thats pretty cool, in a couple of years you will be able to walk right up to it!

What submarine do you keep referring to? There is no submarine, German, Japanese, American, French, Chinese, Italian, Polish, (although that one would make the most sense). A downed bomber plane that crashed in transport in a lake, not the river, is a far cry from a sub that went up the river to blow up a dam that didn't even exist. The fact that you or anyone else could believe such a thing, no mater how remote the belief, struck me as being very, very funny. When I told my 12 year old daughter about your thoughts of a secret sub in the river sent by the Germans to blow up the dam, the first things she asked was "what about the other dams on the river", so I kinda have to stick by my common sense thing or lack of it.

Hey, maybe down in the sub that's still on the bottom of the river Elvis, JFK (he was a president) Jimmy Hoffa,  all playing poker waiting the right moment to re-appear.

By the way, what business is it of yours as to why my account remains on this site? I don't see where it’s got anything to do with you at all. If Brad doesn’t like me teasing him for doing something very stupid, something which we've all done at one time or another (that's called bench racin' by the way) or he's too thinned skinned or to sensitive to be teased about it and he sees fit to ban me from the site, so be it. I have no problem what so ever with that. It's his site; he can do what he like's with it.

And I've never on any board ever said I was the "expert-of-all-things-boat". I've always been up front with my extremely small part in a very big industry, been up front with who I felt built a piece of shit boat and who built a good boat, who was fun to work with and who was great to work with and who was hell to work for. I talked often about my stupid mistakes building boats and see no problem talking about others that do equally stupid things now or in the past. If you don't like what I say in my posts, here or on other sites, don't read them. There are plenty of members here, and on other sites, that I have to completly ignore their posts. Their wild claims, blantent lies, self promoting is too much for me and it pisses me off that the take advantage of some of you. But that is none of my business so I don't comment on it.

You missed the point entirely. The point was, regardless what the object in question is, we would like to know more. You made a very personal attack on us, so I responded accordingly. The "expert-of-all-things-boat" was me stating my opinion of your knowledge. Until 5 minutes ago I held your opinion and thoughts in very high regard. As of right now, I don't know what to think.
No one really knew what it was 2Sav was talking about. Like Brad said, whether it be a Ford Pinto or a submarine the idea of something submerged caught our attention.

In my post which you so mistakenly took the wrong way... I complimented you then went on to explain my shock in the way you had taken the subject of the submarine. If I offended you, I apologize. Common sense is not the question here. Hell it might be a sewer line for all we know. As for the comment about you not being a part of this site, your interest and knowledge in this area brings a lot of value to this site and our continued questions and genuine interest in your opinion are what draw you back. Re-read my post and I think you'll realize I was not attacking you so much as expressing my shock to your reaction.

Savage, a good friend of mine owns the property on the AZ side of the river where the pipeline crosses there, about 700 feet of river frontage if I'm not mistaken. The pipeline runs right up and over his land which he's only owned for a few years. The story of how he bought it is really cool, but too long to post. I will say this though, it was owned by the same family since the late 1800s and only recently came on the market. My friend and his cousin were just in the right place at the right time. Only problem is it's land locked and they're working with the surrounding land owners (tribal indians, Dept of game and fish and another gov. land owner that I can't think of right now) on putting in a road. The only need 100 feet of land, anyone's land, but so far it's been an up hill battle. Very cool piece of land that will never have neighbors of any kind...and maybe not even a home of his own!  :)
Maybe he'd let you set up camp on the beach to do your exploring for whatever is in the river right there? I'll ask him if he's ever seen anything in the water there next time I talk to him.

Well, I disagree. Not to beat a dead horse, but it is about common sense and when I made my comments no mention was made of any pinto. Savage mentioned not once but twice in two different posts before my 1st post that it was a german sub on a mission to blow up the dam and you guys were all over it. It is very funny, and I'm sure the old desert rat that told savage about it is still laughing too.

One more thing. For years when I was a kid and my family had their place on the river at the wagonwheel trailer park in Bullhead, every Sunday morn, or late Sat. night, the dam would be shut down to a trickle. I don't know if it's done anymore, but it was like that all through the 60s and up to 1971 when we moved to Parker. Come Sunday morning you could walk across the river to the Nevada side at almost any point, and you couldn't put your boat in, or move it outa the mud, until late Sunday afternoon when the water begain to rise again.

I would think that if there was a WWII sub of any kind stuck in the bottom of that river it would have long ago been documented, photographed and recorded and it would have been THE central point of conversation in Bullhead city for the last 5 decades.
