If it runs,  I say Rock the Quad.

Most were 800 cfm and have killer part throttle operation.

I'm going to agree with this.  The Q-Jet doesn't look to be in bad shape from the pic.

I have the edel Brock on my 454 and think it's to small went to lake today and can't get over 3800 rpm.  Runs ok just seems to Peter out so might keep the quad

Check the inlet fuel filters under the carb top.

It's a new carb but you never know will give it a shot. What your opinion  on cfm on a basically stock 454 with a small cam it's not a hot rod just want to make it right
