Thanks. Like I said I'm expecting a lot of    "tuning problem's"    but I feel confident that sooner or later it will be a driveable and low-maintence kind of deal. It should arrive next week.

I dropped off the heads today, guy was guesstimating around $400 to get them repaired. That's a lot more than I thought. I asked for a real estimate after the heads were apart. One head needs 2 new seats and 2 new valves. Both need to be surfaced, dissasembled, and cleaned. Another $150 and they'll switch all the valves to stainless.

Who'd yah take the heads to?

Compared to other places, they are the cheapest in East county that I know of. I used to take all the heads that I machined on there for blasting. Just saying keep an eye out that's all

I got a call from Action Cylinder Heads in Lakeside CA today telling me that both of the cylinder heads that I had dropped off were cracked.     I thought that was kind of weird since one head had dropped a valve and the other head looked fine, but whatever. So I drove down to Action Cylinder Heads in Lakeside CA  after work to pick them up and pay my $50. I go to the counter of and they put two 049 heads on the counter and a box of "hardware" (term used loosley) and none of the "hardware" is mine. So I tell them my heads "had Crower 10 degree retainers and triple springs, what the hell is this crap?" So they tell me "oh no sir those are your heads and your hardware". So I say "give me my Phockin#!*(%#@  hardware that I had on my heads, Crower retainers and triple springs"  " So after 10 minutes of them phukin around in the back they bring me my hardware. The whole time their screwin around I'm looking at my heads. One of them isn't mine (the good one I had wasn't on the counter). Story's getting long so let's just say                                 

I left with my hardware, my phuked up head, and thier phucked up head. I was so close to throwing the head that wasn't mine at that fat curly haired phuk's face.

I took pics of my heads before I took them in to WAM for fear of the same thing.  They returned a pair with out the oil galley plugs once and missing the crankshaft balancer bolt...
