Again, if you havent seen enough on the news here are some shots I got tonite from a place called Cook's Corner. For those of you that have never heard of it, it's a "biker bar" in Silverado Canyon here in Orange County. It's about 3 miles up the street from my house and they have been open 24/7 since the fires started to feed the police and fireman. Most of the guys/gals looked pretty tired but seem to all be in good spirits. A big thank you to all the men and women that saved ALOT of houses down in my neck of the woods. Enjoy the pics.

That is truly awesome. I wish I could have come across something like that down here. Or thought to organize something like that.


Based on what I saw down here, I'm not sure if the police should really have been so celebrated... Here they did a great job of getting in the fire men's way. Parking their cars around the fire engines while the cops enjoyed the view. I know not all of them can be included in this group, but everywhere I went in this valley, that seemed to be the case. "Help drag a hose or get the hell out of the way!" was one fireman's response...

noo. He's dropping his load just over the top of the hill. That house actually ended up having those palm trees get charred... Not burnt but singed pretty good.
