G bowl is a split bowl, for being able to add a droop, wedges, etc.
C bowl doesn't have a split- but can still have a diverter, rideplate, etc
They are can be swapped.

Dan'l

Thanks for the explanation, I've been thinking it was something internal every time I saw it come up.

Alright guys, I'm gonna go ahead and make the drive out to see this thing...

My question to you guys is what are the main things I should be looking for beyond the obvious. Someone has already mentioned the foam in the bow and whether the fiberglass tanks have been replaced. Are there any other things I should look for that may help me in negotiating?

The underside.....
Check for obvious damage.
Make sure the seal around the intake isn't broken either.
Soft spots in the floor.
Make sure the bottom is straight.

Where's the easiest place to launch in Blythe for a test drive?

Launching at Mac is pretty easy!!! Plus it's only $10. If your by yourself you can walk the boat to the beach and park your vehicle

That was relatively painless. $400, 4 new shoes and we're on the road again! Joe's Tires in Blythe, they were fast!

Did they blowout

Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk

The starboard rear disintegrated and the others still looked good but likely weren't far behind. I was about 30 miles outside of Blythe when it happened so I did the old strap up the axle deal and made it into Quartzite before a punk ass state trooper kicked me off the highway. Pulled into Mcdonalds, put her up on some rocks and ran into Blythe with all 4 wheels, back to the boat and wife in under an hour.

So, what’s the verdict?  By the way, could I trouble you for some pics of the engine?  I am particularly interested in the the engine mounting and the bellhousing area that I can’t quite make out in this pic.  Thanks, hope you enjoy it.
  Beautiful boat.
Cheers,

Joe

Honestly you gave me good advice earlier in the thread when you said this boat will give me instant gratification but I'll still be able to enjoy the project. The wife and I are stoked on it and I don't know what fast is but all I know is when I turned my head to look at the roost my sun glasses flew off, good enough for me.....for now anyways.

I'll get you some better pictures tomorrow, we're about 30 miles out of Indio right now (wife's driving) and I've got a job in the morning but will likely head out on Elsinore tomorrow and get some pictures then, or just in the driveway if not.

Thanks man, she's far from perfect but it strikes a chord with me for some reason. I probably got too emotionally attached and broke a couple of my rules for buying things but it's done now.
