Mark this batch went almost 2 weeks , no floatys (yeasty's) the wort taste OK (smells like a Frat house on the morning after) , I cleaned everthing with Star San Phosforic acid (this stuff is the sh*T works good on Boat headers too) Charged the keg and have shaken the Sh*t out of it (per the instruction) its absorbing the CO2 Now I'm impatiently waiting for a fizzy "taster" 

Well Tom, whats the verdict   how did it turn out curious minds want to know

Thanks Guys appreciate the "coaching" Still needs some time ,not as good as some of my "batches" , looks good smells good but I'll make some changes in the recipe next time I added a couple quarts extra water ,made it a smidge weak Tom

Its simple actually and fun , a complete "departure" from all the other things I do (kind of time consuming but good stuff ! Go for it Its cheap and easy to get started , Heck get a"Mister beer kit" and see how you do ...

my father in law got me one of the "beer kits" for christman, can't wait till  i have time to open it up and see if i can figure it out ,  keep these threads going, i am paying attention in class

Hey 1980 getting ahead of yourself bud (a couple of kits ) just get yourself 1 and try it out, like Tom said it is inexpensive. When you get into it you will see that you spend less to make it, and be able to make the flavors of brands that you like, and more of it. The taste is excellent. The only thing is that it is a little time consuming     Mark

gotcha, the biggest thing to follow, is  the directions on is the sterilization of everything, if ya do that you WILL have a killer homebrew!!!!!!

yeah would be cool to  make a pale ale like rolling rock i like that beer

you all got me wondering about it, so i googled some kits and i think i'm gonna get one too. sounds fun. anyone know good flavors? i like hef and mostly light beer's, some light ale's too.

     The Hefs or wheat brews are a great one to make and easy, one of my favorites    Another fav of mine is the mead ale, its made with about 15 lbs. of honey, and has a real refreshing light taste, BUT, it will get ya hammered real quick!!!!

See what you started Tom. 1980nordic before tou lay out any coin for the lager deal, keep in mind the ferment at a lot lower temp(you pretty much need a deticated frig) and they take FOREVER!
