Oddly, the only place where there is any pitting is on the top, the only spot on it where I'm going to polish it.

This is going to end up underneath my '32 pickup.

Here's the new bench grinder, (damaged packaging, returned stock blow-out sale, 3 1/2 HP, 3450 RPM, 3.5 amp). I
think I paid $16 or $18 for it. I'm also going to experiment a bit with putting a buffing wheel on a ? air die grinder, air drill, electric drill, etc...

so I don't have to hold up the logs and snails for polishing.

Any suggestion's? Anyone? I'm going to try and (re)polish an entire 455's Hardin Marine parts. The battery mount is really just for experimentation.
