That Mike Kuhl deal is the way to go.
You will need a cam hex drive and a timing cover with a mount for the water pump/fuel pump. You might need an extension to clear your damper. The hex drive will also act as a thrust bearing for your cam as a bearing will slip over it and shim against the inside of the timing cover.
If you don't wish to deal with driving off the cam, you can always run a belt drive remote mount available from the companies listed above as well as Kinsler, Enderle, Hilborn, Ron's, FIE, et al.
Can't wait to see it on the water!
Cheers,
Joe
