I have seen alot of 19'daytonas with set back pumps. Basicly it is a set up to go fast. It puts less of the boat in the water. I had a 18' hondo t-deck with a set back jet and it was set up for drags basicly. It did not turn but it was a rocket going strait. The nice part about a set back pump is if you suck up something in the jet your inspection cover is outside the boat! I dont know how much it will cost you because my boat was already done.

ok from the back of the boat to intake is 3 1/2 inches, not sure if this will help or not, but maybe give you something to go on, how far forward is your motor? (putting more weight to the front), mine is 6 1/2 inches off the back off the boat to the back of the block (where mount is mounted), like i said, don't know if this will help or not :)

where is tom? he might be able to tell us what the differences will be between my set up and yours and what type of gains you would see if you reset your intake or if there is a more cost effective way of achieving the same end result ???
