I bought and fixed up my MIller with the intention of reselling it. You can see a picture here

of how I installed the gas tanks (about half way down the page). One spot towards the front of the tank and one spot towards the rear of the tank were glassed in using large squares of fiberglass mat and also a piece of wood moulding that I had laying around the house. Mat, moulding, mat is how it was layed.

Damn straight, jet boats are hot rods on the water.   ;D

OK its out  Thanks Rod. That was easy money ;D Now what do you use to flush it out? i filled it with water and it dont look to dirty in there. And what do i use to seal the top where the float goes in. Its leaking there.  Silicon?  Well i have to put everything on hold now, the twins are having a birthday in a couple days so i gots to put a swing set together :o Cant get nothing done with so many side tracks going on ;D Chit!

 I did get some new wood done, well i mean sealed its just set in there for now, and dont know if you can see the crack but look close, Its looong but i dont think its a big deal. I got plenty of resin and glass ;D

 Well got to go play with a swing set. This is gonna be fun.

You're welcome, just stop blaming the twins because you want a swing set to play with.  :D  I flushed my gas tanks out with water, let them sit upside down in the sun for a few hours, and then sprayed a sh!tload of WD-40 in there. My tanks were steel and I'm sure the WD-40 was a waiste of time and resources.  :P  I wouldn't try to seal the gas gauge sending unit with silicone. New sending unit's come with a gasket, made of rubber if I remember correctly. Get some gasket material from Kragen or where ever and put a couple of paper gaskets in there, unless you have some rubber laying around, I dunno, say an old bicycle inner tube?  ;D  I can't see any cracks  in your pictures and by the size of that off road tire in the first pic
how big is your boat?

You should be able to get a universal fuel gauge sending unit allmost anywhere, try your local Kragen/Chiefs/AutoZone, etc...

Well im glad i didnt cut out the intake cause its going back to Cali ;D  Yes i will be free from the Platipuss ;D Christmas day its going away and GOOD RIDDENS. I spent the last two days puting this thing back together again Now im done and enjoying a nice cold one ;)  Everyone say goodbye :o Woo Hoo >:D
