Well, I did it again, brought home another huge undertaking, but I really dig this one.

She's a 1991 Carrera 20.5 Elite that has had a very hard life.

Was abused, stolen, stripped, and left to die in a storage facility up north, but I think I can save her...(Famous last words)

Any way, I'll try to keep up with the posts....

Hey Tom, I thought this one would be easier, no way can I piss off any old school circle racers and once done my family won't be afraid of this one, my little boat is so nasty they won't even get in it...

BTW this is one of the nicest boats (other than the little Sanger of course) that I have ever brought home...Sick I tell you, sick!

OK the floor is cut out, the bow seating area disassembled, the remaining electical crap is all removed and it has been steam cleaned melamine patterns have been made also, too damn dark for pics but will get some tomorrow, who ever did the glass work repairs on this thing is not welcome at my house! What a hack...the good news is the stringers and transom are perfect and in tact, picked up a wrecked Competitive trailer today, like I needed more shit to fix

but it will look cool...

Decided to paint the entire boat, gonna be a blocking fool for about a week! Priced carpet and paint today, Holy crap! Probably going to have to call the boat White Gold!

Totally forgot to take some pics today, too busy drinking Mike's Hard lemonade I guess.

Too bad you can't save that Carrera paint job. I just got my paint order(s) and I'm at about $1,500.00 and still counting. I won't get to paint until later this year and who knows what else I'll come up with for it. I need new carpet and seat upholstery.

I was going to color sand and polish the boat, but there are a few too many imperfections for me , besides the colors on this thing suck, I didn't know that many reds existed!, had to gelcoat the bottom any way, this guy thrashed the "S" out of this thing!

I'm considering using Duratec. $:-\$

Oh and BTW, these really aren't built as well as I thought they were, I'm a little dissapointed at the lack of quality from the origional boat, this is going to be quite a project, but I know it will be better than a new one...I just have to keep saying that over and over again..

Who had the number for that "shrink"?

Should have my little 350 small block back from Ore. on Wed. just came off the dyno, the engine was filled with water do to the plug being left in the boat it was in, sent it to a freind at a trade school in Eugene, thought it needed upgrading, so once it was torn down and cleaned up, it got bored .010" to clean up the cylinders (rusty), picked up a set of forged TRW flats, and a set of 1999 Votec heads, they gasket matched the heads and installed all new valves (stockers), redrilled the rocker stud holes to 9/16" and installed a set of ARP studs and Cranes guideplates, open plenum intake from a Volvo Penta I/O with a Holley 725 cfm square bore (Frankencarb) and the XM 278 Comp hydraulic cam, this little recycled POS made 335 hp a 4,780 RPM, I dont have the sheet yet but who cares?, This thing gonna rock!

The numbers are higher do to they ran a set of automotive Hooker super competition headers on it while testing and I'm running water manifolds (center riser) with IMCO thru's.

My buddy aced the class, and already got himself a job at a 4X4 shop (job retraining do to an accident).

, My little jet is all apart on the garage floor looking dejected, how do you get more time doing what you want?, seems like something always comes up...

The paint looks cherry compared to mine!!

I did a flush mount tail light on a chopper project with white trash. I'll see if I still have the program.
Maybe whip out a dash plate for ya.

Well, I just figured out that White Trash II does not fit in the garage by about 1 foot :banghead Now I have to spend "boat money" on building a car port (boat port sounds funny), oh well. have made next to no progress on the hull, been spending some time going camping and to the races with the boy, missed this weekend at LSAR to get the "dust out of my dirt"... going to be a long winter...
