. I agree it is just harder to pull off then you think. November work for a few reasons cold being the main reason. Second is only serious guys come out to freeze there buts off. I 8" wake at 100 mph could be fatal. Guy's idling around with a case of beer to watch a race does no understand the true danger.

I totally understand the safety thing believe me. I don't leg my boat out unless water conditions are pretty ideal. And after talking about it i do understand the need to not let these things turn into crowded events. I was just thinking that if it was set up where a bunch of guys on the list and challengers to the list were able to meet and have a shootout of sorts it would give new guys a shot as well and make for some good racing/ shake things up a bit. And I'm by no means trying to take a shot at it with my current boat, just thinking out loud.

Agreed. Let's not forget boat racing is a spectator sport. And in this case it's done on public waterways... My thoughts are the more educated people you have surrounding the event, the less chance there is for knuckleheads with a 6 pack screwing it up. This "list" is a big deal to this forum and let's face it, the guys ON the list represent a very small percentage. I say open it to the members on the site. Maybe not as an organized event, but at least a date and location. AND MAKE IT EARLY IN THE MORN! Thats a good way to wash out spectators.  Just my $0.02, for what it's worth. 😮

I have a feeling most of the callouts will be on river on off weekends, not to sure how many of you would wanna drive up to big river, Blythe, or Yuma just to watch a couple guys race for a day. And completely understand that people would like to spectate but to be honest the only places I really feel comfortable making 115+ mph passes would be on the lower river if it would have to be at an event. Brad puts on great events but Laughlin area is a lil rough at times and really hard to leg one out and feel confident. As for that saying any races that I get called out on will be a first in the morning deal. I'm supercool with people crowding the shore line but in my opinion the less boats on the water the better..

. Steve I understand what you are saying but unfortunately disagree with posting times and dates. Between all of us they will be plenty of screwing around to witness at the SCJB events. Some of the boats in the top ten are setup on kill and it takes very little to upset them.  If the conditions are right the guys will make a pass but safety must be thought of first. I watched plenty of guys try to make a pass when to many boats are around it does not work. If all of the spectators are on the beach not a big deal. If both of the guys that are racing want there date and location made public I will post it.  As far as early in the morning mist of the lower river has no water at that time.

Not sure how many of you have been 110+ in less than 800 ft but one tiny wake can wreck you and the boat. And as we all know boats don't have brakes. From what I witness if people would like to spectate the best place is with there boats on the trailer and watching from the shore line, that's how mine and jakes new boat went down, how tims race went, how dustins race went, how mine and jims race went. As for jakes and carrico's race during events- The cp regatta is pretty much a common curtesy "You run, go up the back side of sand bar to line up again, or park the boat. Carrico's race at southwind regatta we waited almost 5 mins to line up, guys going every direction. Water was so rough I unloaded three times during the pass. It was really unsafe to run.

Agreed. Spectators should be allowed to be shoreline watching. Seems like it would be a great way to stir things up and get many more people interested in participating in the races. Many can say they make 100+ passes. But I'm sure it's few and far between. Top 3 a possibility but down from there I just don't know... Just saying
