This is going to sound hippie, but have you tried grass fed beef?

Extremely lean and incredibly tasty. It's all we eat as far as red meat.

I could eat salmon three times a week.

Give me a salmon and some artichokes and I couldn't be happier.

Interesting.

If you like Bison and venison,  you will love grass fed. Been eating it for a dozen years now. I can't gag down a Safeway steak.

GT where would you get grass fed beef?

We are signed up with a ranchers co-op for organically raised grass fed meats.

I will get the information when I get home. I costs a little more than what you may be used in the stores, but the quality is out of this world.

I so wish I could take ownership of that knowledge. My wife was studying to be an RN before the accident. She has also studied to be a dietician. So this information is borrowed...

If I had it my way, a can of low sodium green beans and some Kraft Mac and Cheese and I would have been happy, been married 23 years, she managed to destroy every awesome habit I had....  :sly:

The question was asked.

We use Morris grass fed.

Awesome beef. In fact making tacos right now.

When making taco meat with ground beef, you don't even have to drain the fat off, that's how lean it is.

http://www.morrisgrassfed.com/

Place an order and check it out.

Hows everyone doing ? Anyone lose and weight so far? Using my cheap house  scale i haven't  got numbers  to drop ,but clothes  are fitting a little  bit better  I just switched  job locations  to corona off green river road . This has given  my the opportunity  to do a 1 hour hike before  work . Im guessing it be about 3.5- to four miles total  since i was running 2.2 miles in 23 minutes out on my job in ocean side . My hike is fast paced walking and some jogging.  I have been watching  my firt much more with some slio ups . Its hard having  a pregnant  wife  and trying to eat healthy. Im not giving up and i feel  good.

Life is sucking right now to be brutally honest.

The numbers are not bigger, but have not gone the desirable way either... Still the same 255.

That being said, I spent last night with some really great friends and had a blast. First time in a long while that I actually felt "normal".

I am not giving up, but I am going to admit that this is quite a lot harder than I thought it would be.  :banghead:

Not much here either :-/ I could go on and on with excuses but I know I'm truly tired everyday after work. 7 years in the Marine Corps and that was my cardio every morning, I would run between 3-10 miles. I always battled weight restrictions and would often have to dump 10+ lbs for weigh in. Now that im out (been 7 months) I've still lost 15 lbs since being out but don't look or feel any better.

Really hoping when my cousin comes to visit next month he will light a fire under my ass... he left for North Dakota close to 14 months ago at 6'1" 280lbs. He is now 220 and lives for improvement. He started a youtube channel and I'll get some links up soon.
